Visit by Spanish Joint Staff Course

Oeiras, 14 June 2012 (MY). Today a delegation from the Spanish Joint Staff Course (CESEDEN-ESFAS), headed by Brigadier General Jorge Vine Blanco (Spanish Army), visited Joint Force Command (JFC) Lisbon.

The CESEDEN-ESFAS Delegation was consisting of 29 officers from all services attending the Joint Staff Course including one German and one U.S. American officer. The aim of the visit was to give the delegation an accurate and profitable idea on the roles, organization and operational capabilities of JFC Lisbon.

The CESEDEN-ESFAS Delegation was received and welcomed by Lieutenant General Manuel Mestre, Deputy Commander of JFC Lisbon during an office call before being briefed about the NATO’s new deployability concept. Later the Commander of JFC Lisbon, Lieutenant General Philippe Stoltz welcomed the delegation during the gift exchange.

After having a tour in the JFC Lisbon compound, the delegation was briefed about the NATO Support to African Union and Operational Planning Directorate for SHAPE.
